Sportswear that can do something

At the gym, you can work up quite a sweat... Maybe you've had that experience too. That's why the right sportswear is essential. It goes without saying that you don't work out on the equipment in your jeans or other street clothes. One of the most important factors for sportswear are materials. Sportswear must be breathable and durable. It must not get wet quickly and should wick moisture to the outside instead of sticking to the body. Polyester, polypropylene and certain types of blended fabrics have proven themselves well. Cotton is rather unsuitable, as it does not properly conduct perspiration to the outside. Special functional clothing is particularly suitable, as it has all the properties required for sportswear. However, functional clothing is also rather high-priced. If you just want to try out the gym, you can wear a normal T-shirt to start with. It is best to choose darker colors so that sweat does not show visibly. In addition to the material, the fit of sportswear is also important. Pants should not be too long, but still fit loosely and not cut in. Long pants are generally preferable to short pants when exercising on equipment. Functional, comfortable sports pants make more sense than tight leggings with a push up for the buttocks. Too tight shirts or tops can also feel uncomfortable when you're just giving it your all on the rowing machine or weight bench.

The right sports shoes strengthen the foundation

Often underestimated, but also very important, is the right pair of shoes. These may not have the same importance in the gym as they do for jogging or hiking, but they are also important. Get advice on this subject in advance from an orthopedist or sports store. Most of us have deformities of the feet, which we do not notice in everyday life, but which can become quite uncomfortable and even lead to injuries during regular sports activities. Always buy sports shoes one size larger, because the blood circulation in your feet will always cause them to swell a bit during training. If your shoes are too tight, you won't be able to enjoy your workout for long. Make sure that you have enough space at the top of the foot.

Sport also means a lot of sweating

Women need a sports bra. A sports bra should provide sufficient support. Pay particular attention to wide straps and good workmanship. Pretty looking bras, which have an appealing look in the first place and are made of less functional materials, have no place in the sports sector, but unfortunately are often marketed in the same. Otherwise, you need a simple towel and of course a water bottle in the gym. Test out beforehand whether this is also really tight. Especially if you plan to fill it with drinks other than water. You can't really go wrong with towels, you would think. However, poorly made towels made from low-quality yarns tend to lint a lot. It's very unpleasant when you want to wipe off your sweat and your skin is full of towel lint. So it's best to take one that has already proven itself in the past. If you like listening to music, pick headphones that fit snugly in your ear and won't slip out when you sweat.
